Solydra Range of solar solutions

Every day solar panel companies are patenting technologies that keep them ahead of the technology curve. One of the recent additions to the front of this curve is Solynda‘s solar panel tubes, a feat of innovation that earned the company a spot on MIT's list of the top 50 most innovative companies list.
SOLYNDRA® Solar is one of the world's most advanced PV solar systems using CIGS (copper indium gallium selenide) technology; these cells are known for their high degree of conversion efficiency. Roof space that can be used to generate clean, green energy for your building can be provided by the SOLYNDRA® Solar solution.
Solyndra's cylindrical design offers proved dependability and first-class performance. These unique cells are capable of converting direct, diffused and reflected sunlight into electricity as they comprise of cells that capture solar radiation across their entire surface. Solyndra has the lowest system installation costs on a per watt basis for the commercial rooftop market. The installation and rooftop work is completed efficiently which means less disruption for the end customer. For installers, being able to complete more jobs promptly means more revenue during the best installation seasons.
The Solyndra panels can be mounted horizontally as the wind blow through them. There is no need for anxiety that the panels will transfer wind load to the roof or be blown off the roof. No roof penetrations, attachments or ballast are needed. Installations can be done faster and more cost-effectively than conventional rooftop PV solar installations as panels and mounts are quickly attached together. Customers can also feel more comfortable knowing there is less opportunity for leaks on their rooftop and in some cases, maintain a rooftop warranty that might otherwise be voided by penetrations.
There is little impact on energy generation as the cylindrical design allows panels to be situated in virtually any orientation. This means that building contours and high system density on the rooftop can be followed by the Solyndra panels. The Solyndra system is extremely lightweight and modules are spaced within the panel frame giving unique air flow properties. The low roof weight is ideal for older buildings and “value-engineered buildings” not designed to take a heavy rooftop load, and often Solyndra is the only solar solution that works for these installations.
The modules are designed to reliably produce power for more than 25 years in the harsh environment of the rooftop and to provide superior performance with soiling, wind and snow on rooftops around the world.
